Allianz has appointed Paul Evans to the role of non-executive chairman, who will take over from Rick Hudson following his retirement in April 2021.
Evans joins the board as chairman elect on 1 November and will chair Allianz Holdings, Allianz Insurance and LV=.
The former group CEO of AXA UK is also a former chairman of the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and currently holds non-executive roles with BUPA and Swiss Re.
Evans said: ‘‘It is a huge privilege to become Chairman of Allianz Holdings plc at such an important time for our industry.
