AXA XL appoints products, airports and aerospace global lead

Based out of London, Andrew Innes will be responsible for strategically developing the group’s global portfolio of aerospace manufacturers, service providers and airports

AXA XL has announced that it has promoted Andrew Innes to global practice leader of its products, airports and aerospace division, effective immediately.

Based out of London, Innes will be responsible for strategically developing the group’s global portfolio of aerospace manufacturers, service providers and airports, while also driving global governance, underwriting guidelines and pricing standards across the business units.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industries, having begun his career with Brit Insurance in 1995.

Most recently, he held the position of senior aviation underwriter at AXA XL, having been promoted within the business several times since he joined the company (formerly Catlin) in 2006.

Dzung Nguyen-Tu, global chief underwriting officer, aviation and space, said: “As we begin to plan for post-pandemic growth, innovation will be more important than ever. And yet, where there is new opportunity, there are often new risks to consider.

“That’s why I’m delighted that Andrew is taking on this new role. His experience across underwriting, risk analysis and client management will help us to further strengthen our offering to clients.”
