Brit has announced the launch of a new partnership with the African Caribbean Insurance Network (ACIN) to focus on improving ethnic representation across the London insurance market.
ACIN was formed in 2018 to boost black and minority ethnic representation within the insurance industry, enhancing cultural competence throughout the London market and making the insurance sector a “more attractive destination for young professionals from underrepresented ethnic minority backgrounds”.
Brit said the new partnership will see it work closely with ACIN to attract new graduate talent, promoting the insurance profession amongst students from black and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.
The partnership will also be aimed at supporting and empowering BAME community members already working within the insurance industry, providing a range of tailored networking events and opportunities.
In addition to attracting talent and broadening networks, Brit and ACIN will collaborate on educational workshops and events for Brit’s workforce and the wider insurance industry, highlighting the importance of ethnic diversity and inclusion across the market.
