Crawford and Company has announced the appointment of Kate Prangnell as its first corporate sustainability manager in the UK.

In this newly created role, Prangnell will be tasked with ensuring that the group’s commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practice is embedded into its offering at every stage.

She joins the firm from Administrator EQ, where she oversaw the company’s ESG performance and sustainability reporting, net zero strategy, climate risk management and policy as well as colleague engagement and mental health wellbeing.

Prangnell said: “I am very happy to join Crawford and excited to help develop an approach to sustainability so that we can better serve our employees, clients, customers and anyone who depends on us.

“I’m particularly looking forward to engaging and collaborating with our clients on sustainability issues and continuing to champion the importance of mental health awareness in the workplace alongside the Crawford wellbeing champions.”

Lisa Bartlett, president, UK and Ireland, added: “In the new role of corporate sustainability manager, Kate will help formally embed these principles in everything we do.

“Kate brings to Crawford valuable experience in delivering just this kind of change with her previous employer, with a proven ability to harness groups, people and passion across the organisation.
