Short-term motor insurance specialist Tempcover has announced it has appointed Ryan Bendelow as its partnerships director as part of its strategy to consolidate its business in the automotive retail and insurance aggregator sectors.
It comes as the group said it will focus on expanding its reach into “new and underserved” sectors, such as the broker market.
Bendelow brings with him 13 years of experience at RSA, where he held various roles including leading a national SME deals team as eTrading channel manager and sales manager for the South Broker Development team.
Since March 2020, he held the role of head of B2B Sales at Zego, an insurtech that specialises in commercial motor insurance. In this role, he set the distribution strategy, grew the broker partner base and reportedly delivered against the new business budget.
In his new role, he will be responsible for “expediting the growth” of Tempcover’s existing partnerships, whilst “developing new ones too”.
Bendelow said: “For the InsurTech industry to disrupt, adoption at scale is key. Tempcover has already developed an impressive partner base, and I look forward to building on that to enable us to distribute products to large customer bases, faster.
