CFC has announced an upgrade to its cyber incident response mobile app, which provides cyber security alerts for the insurer’s policyholders and access to cyber security risk mitigation experts.
The specialist insurance provider’s app notifies policyholders of immediate threats in real time, helping customers protect themselves from incidents before they happen.
The app now boasts an ‘Ask the Expert’ service, allowing customers to ask for help regarding issues relating to cyber security and cyber risk mitigation.
Graeme Newman, CFC’s chief innovation officer, said: ‘‘The cyber threat landscape is constantly changing as cyber criminals develop new techniques to infiltrate computer systems and compromise businesses.
‘‘Our goal is to use this proprietary technology to help policyholders stay one step ahead of hackers while reducing both the number and severity of cyber claims. We’re leveraging technology to provide policyholders with what believe is the next generation of cyber insurance services.’’
