Pen Underwriting has partnered with accident management specialist FMG to provide a new claims service for its fleet clients in hazardous goods and environmental industries.
According to the insurer, its revamped claims management proposition will further support its clients by “minimising off-road time and reducing the total cost of claims to policyholders”.
The new proposition will provide “24/7 first notification of loss (FNOL) for road traffic accidents (RTA), a UK-wide repair solution and third-party intervention to carefully manage and mitigate costs.”
The “round-the-clock” FNOL service will work in tandem with Pen’s existing 24/7 emergency environmental spill response – with a single number to call whether the incident is an RTA or environmental.
Sarah Penny, claims relationship manager for hazardous goods and environmental industries at Pen Underwriting, said: “Our clients’ businesses absolutely depend on the smooth and safe operation of their fleets.
“So in designing our enhanced claims management service we wanted to not only support them through every stage of an incident, but simplify, streamline and speed up the entire process.”
She added: “Our top priority was to incorporate features that combine to minimise vehicle off-road time and give greater visibility to real-time claims data, while also working to reduce the total cost of claims with effective third-party intervention and support.”
