MS Amlin Insurance appoints chief underwriting officer

Herbert Baeten will succeed his predecessor Rudy Benmeridja and will report to Ludovic Sénécaut, CEO of MS AISE.

MS Amlin Insurance has announced the appointment of Herbert Baeten as chief underwriting officer for property and casualty which will come into effect 1 February 2021.

Baeten will succeed his predecessor Rudy Benmeridja and will report to Ludovic Sénécaut, CEO of MS AISE.

He brings with him over 20 years of industry experience of which was most recently used serving at Aon as chief broking officer and MD for specialty lines for Belgium and Luxembourg.

Baeten has previously worked at Ethias Insurance, AIG and Zurich Insurance, where he held a number of broad and advancing positions, including head of specialty EMEA and CUO for France.

Sénécaut said: “I am delighted to welcome Herbert to MS AISE as chief underwriting officer for Property and Casualty. His insurance expertise combined with his experience and market knowledge will be critical for the delivery of our new strategic plan ‘MS AISE 2025: Advancing together’.
