Acrisure names Grahame Millwater as head of global insurance

Effective immediately, the appointment comes as part of the firm’s wider strategy to expand into a broader fintech financial services company

Acrisure, an insurance brokerage, has named Grahame Millwater as head of global insurance at the group.

Effective immediately, the appointment comes as part of the firm’s wider strategy to expand into a broader fintech financial services company.

The group intends to diversify its portfolio by entering a number of additional business segments, commencing with its newly formed asset management division.

Greg Williams, co-founder, president, and CEO at Acrisure, said: “Since our 2020 acquisition of AI leader Tulco, LLC’s insurance practice, we’ve been executing a transformative tech-driven strategy enabling greater customer-centricity and innovation across a global distribution footprint.

“This strategy has already led to the announcement of a new asset management division and there will be others that follow.”

He added: “This next role for Grahame accelerates his impact on the business, including his leadership of our market relationships and the tech-enablement of our insurance portfolio.”

Having joined the group in 2018, Millwater most recently served as president of Acrisure international and global markets.

Prior to his stint at Acrisure, Millwater led Beach and Associates in 2013 and held a number of senior positions with Willis Group, including CEO from 2004 and president in 2008.

He said: “Together, we are creating the next generation distribution model, predicated on the best of human skills and capabilities, combined with the application of technology and AI.

“The opportunity has surpassed all our expectations, and I am excited to continue to play a key role in the further expansion of such an exciting and unique business.”
