Insurance company Allianz has announced the appointment of Rebecca Rogers to the role of head of property claims.
Rogers has over 23 years of claims experience and a successful career in property claims. Prior to her current role, she held the position of commercial property technical and relationship manager at LV.
She has also held senior positions at NIG Commercial and Direct Line Group, where she worked as a subsidence claims team leader.
In her new position, she will be responsible for the development of Allianz’s property claims handling strategies, technical best practice and ensuring overall performance is market leading and truly customer focused.
Lee Watts, head of technical claims, Allianz Insurance, said: “In addition to her wealth of experience, Becky brings great passion and enthusiasm which makes her a fantastic addition to the team, helping to drive property claims forward in the delivery of our business plans.”
The news comes as Allianz UK has reported GWP of £1.02bn in its first quarter results, up from £494m during the same period last year.
It comes amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and the Allianz Commercial lines book grew by 7% during the period, with a particularly strong performance in the Motor category.
However flood related claims on the Motor Trade, Property and Packages accounts amounted to £43m, which was significantly above its provision for natural catastrophes.
