The Ardonagh Group has announced the appointment of Neil Higgins as head of facultative reinsurance at its newly formed reinsurance broker Inver Re.
Higgins most recently served as head of property at Miller, where he had held a number of roles during an 11-year stint at the group.
Prior to his decade at Miller, Higgins held senior roles at both Newman Martin and Buchan, and PWS.
Higgins said: “Clients face increasingly complex challenges and by harnessing the strong foundations and reach of The Ardonagh Group, Inver Re is perfectly poised to structure exceptional solutions to address these needs.
“I’m truly excited to be building a facultative division with a singular focus on service excellence to ensure clients goals are met every time.”
In his new role, Higgins will be responsible for overseeing the creation of a client centric, strategic, flexible, and market-neutral approach to facultative reinsurance solutions.
James Masterton, CEO at Ardonagh Specialty, added: “Neil is a proven leader who understands what it takes to build a reinsurance business that can deliver real value for clients.
“We are delighted to be welcoming him to Inver Re and the wider Ardonagh Group at this pivotal moment in our history.”
