Atradius has appointed James Burgess as its new UK head of commercial, whose role came into effect on 1 July.
Burgess has worked for the credit insurance provider since February 2014, and now joins the UK and Ireland commercial management team, led by the recently-appointed regional director, Stuart Ramsden.
In his new role, Burgess will be responsible for account teams and sales for both corporate and SME segments.
Richard Reynolds, who also joins the UK management team, will continue to lead the strategic account segment.
Prior to his new role, Burgess led the London and South East commercial team, where the firm adding its portfolio has “prospered” under his management.
Burgess has been in the trade credit insurance industry for almost 20 years, working in commercial roles throughout his career, including managing strategic accounts and sales at both regional and national level.
Stuart Ramsden, regional director for Atradius UK and Ireland, said: “James brings experience and a wealth of knowledge to this role, and I am confident that with his leadership our commercial teams will continue to deliver the very best solutions for our customers. James’ past performance speaks for itself and assures a bright future for Atradius in the UK.”
