Aviva has announced the appointment of Cheryl Toner as its new chief customer and marketing officer.
Toner will take on her first role with the firm in May 2021, having previously served as the marketing director for Retail Banking at NatWest and AXA UK’s chief marketing officer.
Her appointment is subject to regulatory approval, after which she will join Aviva’s Group Executive Committee, reporting to Amanda Blanc.
Blanc, the group’s chief executive officer, said: “I am delighted to welcome Cheryl to Aviva in the new role of chief customer and marketing officer.
“Marketing will play a crucial role, ensuring Aviva seizes the considerable growth opportunities in the UK.”
She added: “We have big ambitions to transform our performance and grow and Cheryl’s appointment is another important step towards our goal of becoming the UK’s leading insurer.”
