AXA XL has announced it has appointed Sylvie Gleises as its head of Client Management for the distribution team at APAC and Europe.
Gleises takes on the role in addition to her further responsibilities as global head of Revenue Synergies and will assist in developing the firm’s client strategy across the region.
Joining AXA in 2016, Glesies held a number of strategic positions including chief of Staff to the group’s former chairman & CEO Henri de Castries, as well as CEO Continental Europe and global head of Distribution & Marketing at AXA Art.
This news follows AXA XL’s recent appointment of Michael Colao as the firm’s global chief underwriting officer for Cyber

Speaking on Colao’s appointment, AXA’s global chief underwriting officer for Financial Lines, Libby Benet, said: “Michael brings a wealth of knowledge from his nearly 20 years as a senior Cyber Security expert in the financial service industry, his background and technical expertise will complement the underwriting talent within our global cyber team, providing a unique perspective into cyber risk.”
