Insurance company Beazley has announced the appointment of Lorraine Lloyd-Thomas and Cameron McCoy to its London team as underwriters.
Llyod-Thomas joined Beazley from Marsh Limited, where she held senior positions which include vice president, senior vice president and most recently managing director. She has also worked at HSBC as an assistant director of corporate finance insurance services.
Whereas, McCoy is an experienced underwriter who will be responsible for the underwriting of UK and international M&A risks.
Prior to joining Beazley, he worked as an M&A underwriter at AIG and previously as a corporate lawyer at leading international firms with a focus on cross border private and public M&A and private equity transactions.
Allen, Beazley’s global head of M&A, said: “We have seen increased interest in protecting transactions through insurance and we are expanding the team to meet this rising demand. We are especially pleased some of the top professionals in our business have decided to join Beazley.”
The appointment comes as, last month, Beazley has announced the promotion of two employees to its global claims team.
Beazley has promoted Steven Chang who has been with the company since 2006, he now holds the position of global head of complex claims. He has previously held the position of global claims team leader for healthcare.
Kati Bynon has also been promoted to global claims team leader for healthcare having managed claims on behalf of Beazley clients for 11 years.
