Chubb has revealed a number of leadership appointments across its EMEA region, including the promotion of Mark Roberts to division president for the UK, Ireland, and South Africa.
In the role, Roberts will be responsible for the group’s property and casualty, accident and health, and consumer lines operations throughout the three regions.
He had most recently served as chief underwriting officer for property and casualty in the UK and Ireland at Chubb.
Roberts replaces Sara Mitchell in the position, as she has been appointed division president of Continental Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Mitchell will now be tasked with heading the same three service lines across 26 different countries.
Elsewhere, Chubb has named Robert Wilson as chief underwriting officer for Chubb global markets, and active underwriting at the group’s Lloyd’s syndicate 2488.
David Furby, EMEA regional president at the company, said that the trio of appointments “have a proven track record” and will “bring the best of Chubb to our clients and brokers across the region”.
Juan Luis Ortega, executive vice president at Chubb, added: “With their decades of industry experience and accomplishment, and under the overall leadership of David Furby, these three executives – Sara, Mark and Robert – represent an exceptionally strong and talented team leading our region in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“We are delighted to make these senior appointments, which further demonstrate the significant bench strength of talent within Chubb.”
