Global claims management firm Crawford and Company has announced the appointment of two new senior staff.
Crawford and Company has appointed its current COO Rohit Verma as its new CEO, and gas named current general counsel, Joseph Blanco, as president, both effective 15 May.
Verma and Blanco succeed Harsha Agadi, who has held the position of CEO and president for the past five years. He will transition to the board as a director where he has served since 2010.
Verma has previously served in senior positions at Deloitte, McKinsey and Company and Zurich, where he held the position of senior vice president, head of commercial markets and regional executives.
Blanco held senior positions at Dentons and at McKenna Long and Aldridge, where he was a partner.
Agadi said: “After approximately 10 years on the Crawford board, I continue to be truly excited about the company and its future as the next generation of leadership with seasoned and client-centric leaders like Rohit and Joseph take over Crawford and Company. I am humbled by the board’s invitation to continue to serve on the board of the company.”
Charlie Ogburn, non-executive chairman of the board, added: “I am very pleased with this planned and orderly transition of leadership at Crawford and Company as we turn the page into the next chapter for the company.”
