Davies has made two senior appointments, naming Darren Coombes as group deputy chairman and Dene Rowe as group chief marketing officer.
Rowe joins Davies’ group executive committee and will take up his role in early April, reporting directly to group CEO Dan Saulter. He joined Davies as innovation director through the acquisition of Keoghs in 2020 and has held a series of senior executive roles across marketing, innovation, digital transformation and sales.
In his new role he will lead marketing, communications, innovation, pipeline management and tender activity, to support Davies’ “organic business growth on a global basis”.
Meanwhile, Coombes, who has held various leadership roles within the business for over 20 years, latterly as chief growth officer, will take up a new role as group deputy chairman.
In his new role, he will join Davies’ UK FCA regulated boards as non-executive director and will join Davies’ divisional boards where he will “provide challenge and focus on client service and growth”.
In addition, Coombes will play a global ambassadorial role, supporting client relationship management and focusing on strategic opportunities and new markets.
Dan Saulter, group CEO at Davies, said: “I’m excited to announce these new roles for Dene and Darren as we continue to push for strong organic growth alongside digital transformation.
“Davies has a fantastic track record of promoting from within and investing in our people to build strong leadership teams. As we look to the future, the global insurance market must continue to innovate and transform.”
He added: “We must ensure Davies remains at the centre of that change, including via our investment in technology and automation, alongside investment in our people and their career development.”
