Genasys names new joint CEOs

The insurance software solutions provider appointed André Symes and Craig Olivier to the role of joint CEOs, while founder and current CEO Steve Symes leaves to become the company’s chairman

Genasys has named André Symes and Craig Olivier as its new joint CEOs following the departure of current CEO and founder Steve Symes.

Steve Symes is set to become chairman of the insurance software solutions provider as of 1 July 2021.

Andre Symes will continue to be based in London, while Oliver will remain in Johannesburg with managing director Eugene Wessels, who will take up the newly created role of head of global operations.

Following the announcement, Symes said: ““Our entry into the UK insurance market has been an exceptional success. Our platform and ecosystem has been widely adopted by MGAs, brokers and insurers ranging from start-up businesses to major insurance providers.

“This has undoubtedly helped fuel interest in what we offer from significant players in the Americas. Craig and I are honoured to be taking over the baton from Steve and we are hugely excited about what the future holds for Genasys.”

Oliver said: “The operational centre of excellence that we have built in South Africa has the capability to support clients around the world, providing us with the foundation we need to achieve our ambitions.

“André and I relish the challenge of taking Genasys forward and becoming the pre-eminent provider of insurance software solutions.”
