Hive Underwriting, the holding company of Hive Aero, has appointed Christine Dandridge as a non-executive director to its board.
Commencing her career as a broker at Stewart Wrightson in 1978, Dandridge joined Posgate and Denby Syndicate two years later, becoming one of the first female underwriters at Lloyd’s.
She has since acted as a founding member of Atrium Underwriting, an active underwriter at Syndicate 609, and a member of the Council of Lloyd’s.
Dandridge, who has already held a number of non-executive directorships, said that she has enjoyed “watching the development of Hive” from its inception in 2017.
She added: “The team has built an excellent model and a platform to use as a springboard for growth and I look forward to helping the business develop and expand at this opportune time in the cycle.”
Bruce Carman, founder of the group and CEO at Hive Aero, said: “I am delighted to welcome Christine onto the board of Hive Underwriting.
“Christine possesses an exceptional knowledge and understanding of the insurance sector and I know will be a huge asset to Hive as we look to build out our multi-class offering.”
Dandridge, currently a director at Managing Agency Partners, has joined the group with immediate effect.
