Mark Ramsook will be responsible for developing the firm’s employee benefits and wellbeing business across Europe and Latin America

Howden Group, the independent insurance brokerage, has announced the appointment of Mark Ramsook as director of global employee benefits development for Europe and Latin America.

Joining the company’s global employee benefits team, Ramsook will be responsible for developing the firm’s employee benefits and wellbeing business across the regions.

He will also work alongside Anne Terry, director of global benefits management, to further develop Howden’s global benefits management proposition.

Glenn Thomas, UK MD and global practice leader at Howden employee benefits and wellbeing, said: “We are delighted that Mark has joined Howden’s global employee benefits team.

“Howden’s people first culture, entrepreneurial spirit and employee ownership means that we continue to be the home for talent and Mark’s appointment is the latest example of this.”

Ramsook most recently served as a senior director and sales leader for GB and Western Europe at Willis Towers Watson, and has also held senior roles at both Barclays Wealth and Investment Management and Mercer Consulting.

He said: “This is a really exciting time to join Howden. Employee benefits and workplace wellbeing have never been such a high priority for employers.

“The explosion in health technology solutions means that clients need greater support and expertise to ensure they have the right benefits strategy and technology in place to meet the unique needs of their business and people.”

He added: “Howden are at the forefront of delivering great consultancy and innovative solutions to clients, wherever they are in the world.”
