Peak Re announces retirement of Chris Kershaw

The company, which is based in Hong Kong, but operates globally has named Iain Reynolds and Andy Souter as co-heads of P&C to fill his position

Global reinsurer Peak Re has announced that Chris Kershaw, managing director, global markets and co-head of property and casualty insurance (P&C) will retire from his role on 2 April 2021. 

Kershaw, who worked within the role for eight years, will take on an advisory role at Peak Re after his retirement. 

The company, which is based in Hong Kong, but operates globally has named Iain Reynolds and Andy Souter as co-heads of P&C to fill his position. 

Reynolds currently serves as head of analytics at the firm, a position he held since 2016. 

He has over 20 years of experience in international reinsurance, specialised in catastrophic risk analysis and transfer.

Meanwhile, Souter joined Peak Re in November 2020, having previously been head of capital for an MGA in London, and prior to that he was head of APAC in London for a “major global reinsurance broker”. 

Franz Josef Hahn, chief executive officer of Peak Re, said: “On behalf of my colleagues and the management team, I would like to thank Chris for his contribution, commitment and leadership over the past years.”
