Beazley appoints new chief underwriting officer

Adrian Cox, CEO, said Quane’s ‘extensive global experience’ will be crucial as the firm continues to develop its business in ‘established and growth markets’

Beazley has announced the appointment of Bob Quane as its new chief underwriting officer (CUO) with him set to start his role based in New York on 11 October 2021.

It revealed that with over 30 years of underwriting leadership experience, Quane has joined the firm from AXIS Capital where he was CUO of the insurance segment.

The firm said Quane’s experience includes 22 years working at AIG, where he held “various senior roles”, including head of Global Personal Lines, Global Accident and Health and Global Commercial Property.
